5/29/2008 PhD Candidate～Hahahahahahahaha~
在Tami 莫名的"Congrautulations!" 之后，转眼收到了小米的这封邮件：
Dear Yuxing,
On behalf of the Graduate Committee, I wish to congratulate you on passing the Qualifying Examination in the Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Space Sciences.
We sometimes impose required additional work on students at this stage. While we have nothing specific to require in your case, we recommend that from now on you concentrate very strongly on making significant progress in your research.

结束了我近两个月的噩梦啊～～～ 天，从来没有这样的蓝；草，从来没有这样的绿；空气，从来没有这样的清新。。。。
从此，拿着PhD Candidate的饭碗，努力的混日子吧！

5/1/2008 springAfter waiting for a long, boring winter, the spring of Ann Arbor finally came.
It didn't let us disappointed. It's beautiful.
I never expected a walk around North Campus will lead to so many discoveries....
I never know there are so many cute flowers, each beautiful in its own way;
I never know the new leaves are so tender, curved and fragile, like a new-born baby;
I never know that nature has so many beauty to show us....
I like the cute little yellow flowers on the grass. Who designed their color? It's just .... perfect.
Spring, sunshine, music.... peaceful and beautiful. 4/29/2008 qualify 小记最近猫在图书馆看书。今天看流体，觉得整本书，甚至整个描述大气运动的框架，都是根据3大守恒定律搭建起来的。质量守恒，能量守恒，动量守恒。（发现高中物理的重要性啊）^_^
可能是看书时间太久了，觉得这几个守恒定律竟然和古人的某些理论不谋而合：
舍得，有舍才有得
失之东隅，收之桑榆
还有西方人的：上帝为你关上一扇门的同时，也为你打开了一扇窗。
就像有一种能量消失，就必定有另一种能量增加一样，你放弃了一样东西，一定会以另一种形式收获另一样东西。
如果觉得自己没有收获，只是你没发现另一种形式的能量而已。^_^
原来不同的领域真的是相通的，难怪看过一个小故事说：很多很多的学者看了很多很多的书，用了很多很多的时间总结人间的至理名言，结果只有一句话：天下没有免费的午餐。
翻译成物理的语言，就叫质能守恒。呵呵

3/23/2008 关于士兵突击
很老土的刚刚看完士兵突击。这几天简直是啥都可以不干，电视剧不能不看。。。 我发现这个编剧真有本事，总把一些真理平平淡淡的说出来，一些普通的人说的朴素的真理，却更让人印象深刻。 我印象最深，感触最深的是关于成才的一些话：
成才：“你许三多是一棵树，有枝子有叶子。而我就是一根电线杆。从我出来当兵的那天就把自己给砍光了”，“我要回去，找我自己的枝枝蔓蔓了。”
高连长：“你现在手稳多了啊，心稳了，所以手就稳了”
袁朗：“我现在才明白，任何人和团体都没办法在你心里占据一点位置”，“我们不敢让这样的人做我们的战友”，“你真的懂得珍惜吗？”
成才：“我现在才终于明白了什么是知足。明白了以后，才发现这天原来是蓝的，草原来是绿的。”“我原来有很多要感谢的人”，“不懂得知足的人，不知道感谢”
其他的有意义话： 很难得有这么一个电视剧，塑造了一批个性互相独立，如此鲜明的人物形象。按朱军的话说，“每个人都有自己的粉丝团”哈哈。 在现在这个社会，重新唤醒了大家对“铮铮铁骨”的回忆。 这一群“不抛弃，不放弃”，“没有终点”的人，愿为战友牺牲的人，他们是“真男人”，他们有血性，有柔情。 总在想一个问题：成才真的有错吗？理性的讲，他没错，他没做任何伤害别人的事情，只是在争取自己想要的东西。他也有自己做人的原则。只是，在他心里，自己的位置太重了一些，别人的位置太轻了一些。一个只牟取自己利益的人，是一个冷漠和自私的人。冷漠和自私不是罪，没人会因为这个控告你。只是不会喜欢和信任这样的人。失人心，也许是成才没有考虑到的最大的阻力。 好的电视剧，也像一门课，能教给人很多东西。 什么东西做好了，都是要用心的，一部电视剧，一个团体，甚至一种牙膏。任何东西做到极致，都是用心做的，都能让人领会到很多东西。
3/11/2008 ILS The world is out there. It's only whether you touch it or not. -------------- ILS experience Always wanna say something after coming back from ILS (intercultural leadership seminar), since I felt so different before and after it.... It's like the whole world has changed. Actually, the world didn't change, people didn't change either. What's changed is my way of viewing things. Before, I drew a cricle on the ground, and named it "my territory", and only saw and felt the things inside it. Now I have began to realize that there is a whole world outside this circle, and what's better, I'm open to it. Actually, every wall I build up on the territory can be turned to a door to the outside world. That's just fantastic... When talking to David last night at the party, we mentioned something about the "positive loop". It's like when you bring some positive energy into an encounter with people, most likely, both of you will endup with higher energy. So when you are happy meeting someone, you will most likely endup being even happier after that. I think one of the invaluable assets from ILS is that we are more able to creat a "positive loop" than before. Oh, an "intercultural" positive loop, of course. =P I saw several sentences on a website one day, which I felt would be the perfect closure for this essay: There is moment in life that defines you, There is moment in life that's gonna change your life, There is moment in life that you know will last forever... That moment is now. 2/5/2008 所为何求人这一生到底求什么， 无非要问心无愧，良心安宁，能贡献于社会，朋友家人其乐融融。 但是人啊，还总是有着这样那样的欲望。 不满足于自己现在有的 总想要更多
不满足，不满足。
于是自己有的也丢了。
想要的，其实不一定是你真正需要的。 一心追求想要的东西，有可能会让你连最本质的需要都得不到。
大千世界， 人的诱惑太多了。
丢了西瓜捡芝麻的事， 真的没有那么可笑。 因为它每天都在发生。
真的能做到宁静和平和， 真的能清醒的认识自己，知道什么是自己真正的需要，什么只是幻象的诱惑， 没有那么简单。
